This publication documents local fish names, breeding seasons, distribution, and threats, gathered with indigenous and fishing communities during the Community Convention on Fishes in Manipur (India). Developed in collaboration with taxonomic experts, it bridges traditional knowledge and scientific understanding. It aims to raise awareness, empower communities, and support conservation of Manipur’s unique and threatened aquatic biodiversity within a globally recognised biodiversity hotspot.
