The study also looks into how different types of pedestrians (i.e., age, gender, ability) and walk contexts (i.e., purpose, company, familiarity with the place) might result in different experiences of the same environment. This can greatly guide and assist specific interventions to improve the walkability of areas related to negative walking experiences, while extending or promoting those related to positive ones, considering the needs of all pedestrians.
