Cuantificación del encadenamiento industrial y laboral para el desarrollo del hidrógeno en Chile

09/2020 | Report

In the discussion about Green Hydrogen in Chile, the question was risen how much would be the impact on the local economy. As an answer a baseline case showed that within the Chilean NDC scenario, around 4 GW of electrolyzers and ca. 9 GW of renewable energy by 2050 will be needed. Consequently around 820 medium and big size and more than 2000 small size companies could be part of the green hydrogen value chain. In terms of local labor, about 22,000, 87,000 and 94,000 new jobs are expected to be created by 2030, 2040 and 2050 respectively.
