New Data on Distribution and Population Number of Large Raptors in Northern Usturt Within Atyrau Province, Kazakhstan

Breeding populations of large raptors were surveyed in the north-west of the Ustyurt Plateau within the boundaries of the Atyrau Province, Kazakhstan. The findings demonstrate the importance of the region for biodiversity. This serves as a scientific basis for the establishment of a new desert protected area, a regional nature park “Northern Ustyurt” within CADI project.
