Carbon stock assessment Mongolia

Current assessments on estimating carbon storage in cold winter deserts based on field survey are still rare. However, this information is relevant for climate change research. CADI Fellow Bayartungalag Batsaikhan (Mongolia) developed a modelling approach using remote sensing data and field measurement in Haloxylon ammodendron (black saxaul) dominant cold winter deserts region of Mongolia.
