The Finest Tea of the Mountains
On the mountaintop of Lo Cho, Chiang Rai Province, people’s lives are deeply intertwined with the Assam tea. Every morning, before the first rays of light filter through the treetops, the women head to the tea gardens.
Their hands gently pluck just one tender bud, two leaves, the finest part… which becomes the livelihood that sustains families.
This naturally grown Assam tea won the world's second place award, not just because of its taste but because of the ‘story’ hidden in each tea leaf.
