Cover "Public Bus Electrification"

This study focuses on Thailand's goals in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the transport sector. Thailand aims to reduce GHG emissions by 20%-25% by 2030 compared to projected levels. The NDC Roadmap outlines a target of a 41 MtCO2 reduction in 2030, achieved through energy efficiency improvements (31 MtCO2) and biofuel consumption (10 MtCO2). The country has also set new targets of carbon neutrality by 2050 and zero emissions by 2065. Public transport electrification, aligned with economic development and climate change mitigation policies, is seen as a key measure for GHG reduction in the transport sector.
