This guide on the calculation of emissions reductions of new vehicle fuel economy and CO₂ emission standards was developed by the International Council for Clean Transportation (ICCT) together with a Microsoft Excel based spreadsheet tool – the Fuel Economy Standards Evaluation Tool (FESET). The tool is open so that values can be exchanged and adapted to allow applying the tool in other countries, too. Chapter 6 provides a step-by-step description of the Mexican example and how to apply the FESET.
