The brief describes how an enabling environment for mainstreaming climate adaptation in different economic sectors can be created at the example of Kazakhstan. According to the report, economic considerations help to argue for the implementation of climate adaptation measures. To realize this potential, the report identifies five entry points for integrating climate adaptation considerations supported by macroeconomic modelling into Kazakhstan’s national planning processes.
