From climate plans to action: scaling private investment in NbS for agriculture, land use and biodiversity

This event will bring together government, civil society, private sector and donor community representatives to explore how greater private-sector engagement can support the implementation of national climate priorities, with a focus on investment in Nature-based Solutions (NbS), how supporting biodiversity targets can also deliver against climate action, and to explore some of the instruments and enabling measures needed to scale them. 

The discussions will focus on: 

1. Highlighting the environmental and socio-economic co-benefits of NbS in addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and land degradation;
2. Showcasing country-level approaches, experiences and insights on mobilizing private sector engagement and investment in actions that strengthen climate resilience in agrifood systems, while protecting and restoring biodiversity and ecosystems; 
3. Exploring opportunities, challenges and enablers for scaling NbS adoption to accelerate the implementation of NDC and NAP priorities in agriculture and land use.
