From Vision to Action: Implementing One Health in Practice
The webinar aims to bridge the gap of conceptual alignment of One Health to real-world implementation by highlighting concrete, field-tested One Health solutions.
Organised by PANORAMA One Health together with IUCN, a global platform for biodiversity with different communities, each managed by different partners. PANORAMA One Health documents and shares proven solutions for sustainable development; this event will bring together solution providers from the One Health community to present real success stories.
The webinar will feature presentations from two solution providers : WildHealthNet (Southeast Asia), which operationalizes wildlife health surveillance through a regional network that strengthens early detection and response to emerging zoonotic diseases, and "One Health Units as innovative models for health service delivery in pastoralist communities of East Africa", which demonstrates how integrated human, animal, and environmental health services can improve healthcare access in remote pastoralist areas.
Speakers will highlight how One Health approaches have been translated into action across diverse contexts, such as disease prevention, ecosystem restoration, and community resilience, demonstrating tangible outcomes and measurable impact. The webinar will feature short, focused presentations, followed by a moderated discussion.
Each presentation will emphasise practical aspects: governance arrangements, stakeholder collaboration, financing mechanisms, barriers encountered, and strategies used to overcome them. By making implementation knowledge accessible, the event seeks to support stakeholders who are interested in replicating One Health solutions. Participants will leave with concrete examples, transferable insights, and inspiration to apply One Health principles in their own work.
