Beat the Heat in Cities - A System Approach
This interactive showcase and workshop will spotlight the UK’s leadership through the lens of the UK’s Climate Change Risk Assessment systems approach.
The event will build on this with a Mayor – Minister dialogue and an interactive session to explore the importance of a systems thinking to their local context, sharing opportunities and challenges in the process.
This event will feature:
- A workshop applying the UK CCC’s Adaptation Systems to their city/local challenges.
- Announcement of funding for innovation on climate adaptation of built environment.
- Promotion of the “Beat the Heat in Cities” initiative launched by Brazil – linking to Manchester and Liverpool.
