Resilient Green Cities: paths to climate financing in the Northeast
On 17 November 2025 (14:00–15:00) at the Espaço Brasil Nordeste (Green Zone), the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA) hosts the panel “Resilient Green Cities: Paths to Climate Financing in the Northeast.”
The session will present the publication “Pathways to Developing a PCVR Financing Strategy,” highlighting innovative mechanisms to mobilize public and private resources for resilient urban transformation. Discussions will focus on how Brazil’s Resilient Green Cities Programme (PCVR) is creating tools for sustainable investment in cities most vulnerable to climate risks.
The ANDUS Project (IKI/BMWE) supported the development of the PCVR, including its financing strategy, visual identity, and participatory design process involving more than 1,000 stakeholders nationwide.
